Be a “LIGHT” to our community

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

The Lord planted our church where we are to help our neighbors discover the light of life. So, we’re asking each member of our church to consider becoming a Light to their neighbors and living intentional pray-care-share lifestyles.

The Franklin Baptist Association has provided its member churches access to the BLESS EVERY HOME program. The idea behind BLESS EVERY HOME is that churches have their members become “lights” in the community. Each “light” (based on location of church) is given a list of individuals/households to pray for. You will have an address, so you can even send a card/letter. Using their app, you can keep track of who you’ve prayed for, who you’ve cared for, who you’ve shared the gospel with, and who you’ve discipled.

This is an exciting opportunity for our church as we start an emphasis of reaching our community for Christ and that starts with prayer. I am encouraging our Charrette members to click the link, download the app, register as a light, and join us on this journey to reach our neighbors for Christ.

Becoming a Light is free and confidential. You’ll receive a map and list of your closest neighbors, along with emails at the frequency of your choice to pray for your next five neighbors that day. When you get a chance, walk or drive by those homes as you pray for them.
