Here are a few FAQ's to help you in preparing for your visit to Charrette. We are looking forward to your visit. If there is a question you have not listed, contact us and we will provide you with an answer.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? Our physical location is at 16371 State Highway O, Marthasville, Missouri 63357. We are located in Southern Warren (Missouri) County on Highway O just north of the Highway 47 junction. Our church driveway sets just beside the Marthasville city limit sign.
WHAT IS YOUR DENOMINATION AFFILIATION? Charrette enjoys an autonomous relationship with a number of religious entities both inside and outside the state. Charrette finds itself associating with the Southern Baptist Convention, Missouri Baptist Convention, and the Franklin Baptist Association because it finds that these organizational beliefs in scriptural and biblical matters are closely in line with what Charrette believes.
One of the most important aspects of our association with these groups is AUTONOMY. As an autonomous body, the membership and leadership of Charrette provide the sole governance of the church and its associations. No other group or outside organization has governing authority over Charrette. While we may receive resources and information on various topics, practices, and methodology from these groups, Charrette leadership and membership provide the final authority on matters of the church.
WHAT ARE YOU SERVICE TIMES? Worship service begins at 10:30 AM each Sunday morning. Nursery is available for our younger children.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL SERVICE AT CHARRETTE? Church services are informal, but reverent. Dress styles range from casual to business casual. The music is led by a simple praise team of men and women playing the acoustic guitar, base guitar, piano, keyboard, cello, and occasionally other instruments. Songs range from music you would hear on your Christian radio station to classic hymns. Preaching is straight from the Bible, and explained with illustrations and life stories.
HOW LONG DOES A SERVICE LAST? Our goal is to limit our worship time to one hour each week. There may be times where our service will extend past this time to allow our pastor the flexibility in presenting God's Word in a concise and meaningful way.
DO YOU OFFER PROGRAMS FOR KIDS, YOUTH? We have an active ministry to our children and youth. Sunday mornings provide bible study opportunities for kids (bed babies thru elementary) and youth (6th -12th grades). On Wednesday nights our children participate in AWANA (a Bible-based evangelism and discipleship program for kids of all ages). Our youth are led through various discipleship and Bible studies. Our youth leaders provide monthly opportunities for fellowship in helping to develop relationships and foster opportunities in sharing their faith.
WHAT PROGRAMS DO YOU OFFER TO ADULTS? Sunday School (9:15 AM each Sunday) is a primary Bible study opportunity for adults. Currently we offer three classes for adults - each with a different leader and approach. One class is led by our Pastor and is focused on basic beliefs and discipleship for new believers.
We have an active women's ministry group that organizes a number of events in the year to foster community and spiritual growth. Our men's group meets on the first Saturday of every month for breakfast and bible study. We are looking forward to future offerings for ladies, men, couples, and singles.
